Care Guide
Care Philosophy
Good clothing rewards attention. Not excessive attention — just the basic discipline of washing things correctly, drying them well, and not leaving them crumpled at the bottom of a bag for a week. The fibres used in Project Aston garments — European cotton, linen, Turkish cotton twill — are durable and well-behaved. They will repay straightforward care with years of use.
General Care Notes
- Wash in cold water. Hot water accelerates colour fade and stresses fibres unnecessarily.
- Avoid tumble drying at high heat. High heat damages natural fibres over time.
- Iron while slightly damp. Cotton and linen are easiest to press when they retain some moisture.
- Store linen hanging, not folded. Linen that is folded for extended periods develops hard creases.
- Do not over-wash. Natural fibres clean themselves to a degree. Washing after every single wear shortens the life of the fabric.
- Treat stains immediately. A damp cloth and prompt attention handles most marks.
